Voter ID card is necessary at the time of casting our vote and elects the leaders who will then rule the state. Not only it’s a card which requires casting your vote but it also works as an identity proof. Hence, it is important to acquire a Voter ID card.
Election Commission of Kerala made the procedure easy by providing both online and offline method for people to apply for their voter ID card.
How to apply for a Kerala voter ID card?
Online procedure is the most convenient procedure to get a work done. All you need is a secured internet connection.
Visit the official website of Chief Electoral Officer (ECO) of Kerala
And you are required to use your credentials in order to login. And once you have logged in, on the home page, choose “Apply for inclusion of name in Voter list using Form 6 – Online” and in the form provide your details the form is asking for. Submit the form by attaching the required documents. A Booth Level Officer (BLO) will come for the verification, if verified you will receive your Voter ID card.
You have to provide authenticate documents for the identification purpose, which are as follows:
Proof of age
Proof of address
And a recent passport sized photograph
How to track status of your voter ID card in Kerala?
To track your voter ID card in Kerala, you will have to visit the official website of CEO Kerala and provide your EPIC (Electoral Photo Identity Card) number and you can see the status of your voter ID card.
Or you can track the status of your Voter ID card type ELEvoter ID number and send it to 54242 / 537252.
You can also call on the dedicated ECI (Election Commission of India) helpline number i.e. 1950 which is also toll free. And the helpline number is available on all working days between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm.
